English: Pen Mill / Chudleigh Mill On the River Yeo. "The mill may have existed before Domesday as the manor mill for Kingston". http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=54756&resourceID=100 . This landscape has recently been transformed with the building of flats on the right, part of an overall development of the mill in the background. Although shown on maps as Pen Mill, this is called Chudleigh Mill according to http://www.chudleighmill.co.uk/Chudleigh%20Mill%20Power%20Stage%201.pdf , which suggests that Pen Mill is 200 metres away downstream. The most detailed OS map has both names adjacent to each other. |
