English: Otto Peltzer (1900–1970) in August 1930 in the locker of Deutsches Stadion (= German stadium) in Berlin when he got the message about his suspension by German sports authorities which prohibited his participation in the athletics competitions.
Deutsch: Otto Peltzer (1900–1970); Die Bildlegende zu diesem Foto lautet: „Dr. Peltzer suspendiert! Der Weltrekordläufer in der Garderobe des Deutschen Stadions, wo ihm eröffnet wurde, dass er durch die Deutsche Sportbehörde suspendiert sei und nicht starten dürfe.“ – Im Fließtext des dazugehörigen Artikels heißt es daneben: „Der suspendierte Dr. Peltzer, einer der ganz populären Sportsleute, ist in den Augen der meisten Leichtathletikanhänger ganz gewaltig gesunken. Derselbe Mensch, der, verärgert und vergrämt seine vorgesetzte Sportbehörde anklagend, im Umkleideraum bei seinen Sportkameraden, die nervös und aufgeregt in Anbetracht der wichtigsten Meisterschaftskämpfe sind, wenig Verständnis findet, muss sich mit einem Schlage als simpler Zivilist seine Freunde unter den Zuschauern suchen, die ihm sonst zur gleichen Zeit zugejubelt hätten.
