| Description |
English: Since the XIV-XVI centuries, the City of Pekalongan has been known for the work and activities of batik as one of the main sources of livelihood for most of its people. On July 12, 1972 representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Central Java cq. The Head of the Museum Division is supported by the 10th (ten) Mayor Drs. R. Soepomo founded the Batik Museum in Pekalongan, which is located in the center of Pekalongan City, south of the People's Amusement Park (THR) area of the Merdeka Star Building which is now in the area of the XVII Regiment Street Police Guard Post. |
