Description
The Danish naval officer Emil Francois Krieger commissioned Køyer to make portraits of his two young sons in 1875. Alfred Emil (1853-1935) still had the painting in 1923, when Christensen made a list of Krøyer's paintings. The lot at the auction consisted of both portraits.
