Pecan Valley Estates neighbors started to clean and rebuild homes flooded by past rainy days from March 8-11, 2016. Record flooding occurred along a sizable stretch of the Sabine River and along the Texas/Louisiana border, due to record releases from Toledo Bend Reservoir, first put in service in 1966. FEMA and Louisiana Emergency Management Agency are working together to help survivors recover. Residents impacted by the recent flooding may register for disaster assistance or get information about their application by calling 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA); TTY 1-800-462-7585.
