Summary
[edit]DescriptionPaygate, Amberley Road - geograph.org.uk - 1239952.jpg |
English: Paygate, Amberley Road The B2139 was constructed as a turnpike in 1812 to replace an older coaching route that ran through the grounds of Parham Park. The long straight section between here and Amberley is very popular with motorcyclists who were out in force today. The junction with Clay Lane is to the left whilst the cottage on the right is a former toll collectors home now a private residence. |
