Steps should now be taken for potting orchideas plants, &c. ; as the operationswill soon commence, a sufficient quantity of good peat should be got in readinessfor such of the orchideous plants as require it, and a good quantity of proper mossfor others. A quantity of loam of proper quality with other requisitesshould be prepared for other stove plants. Water the plants throughout this monthwith the utmost caution, and give a little fresh air when the weather will admit.Introduce bulbs, shrubs, &c., for forcing ; give them plenty of water, both at the rootsand top, fumigate them the very moment insects appear, and they will flower wellfor omamentino- the sreenhouse.
