Title
English: Pawtucket Dam, July 23, 1915
Description
English:

A photo showing the breach in Pawtucket Dam

The capstones that were washed off the top of the dam lie just below the dam in this picture, many with their flashboard rods still in place. The metal rods that are only slightly bent indicate that they did not do their intended job, to bend enough to release the wooden flashboards and relieve the pressure on the dam. The undamaged portion in the distance shows the metal rods and flashboards still in place.
