Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Paull Lagoon, Paull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
This artificial lagoon is allowed to fill at high tides with water from the River Humber and acts as a flood defence to the low-lying land of south west Holderness behind it. The lagoon also very successfully doubles as a haven for wildlife too. Water levels are not normally as high as seen in this photograph - it was a particularly high tide on this occasion.
