Notes Pauline GARNERAY - Artiste-peintre, élève de son père Jean-François Garneray (1755-1837, élève de David) , ses trois frères furent également peintre : Louis (1783-1857, qui avant de se consacrer à la peinture fut corsaire et compagnon de Surcouf), Auguste (1784-1824])et Hippolyte (1787-1858, qui séjourna longtemps au Texas) - Elle travaillait avec son père et son frère Auguste, s'occupant des finitions de leurs tableaux (et exécutant des copies), ce qui laissa peu de place à ses propres œuvres (on connait principalement ses sujets de fleurs).
