English: Paul Reiner, a chemist and highschool teacher who in 1913 started as a tutor in the family of Edgar Jaffé (1866–1921) and his wife Elisabeth Frieda Amélie Sophie (1874–1973), née as Freiin von Richthofen in Wolfratshausen, Kingdom of Bavaria. After WWI he taught from 1919 at German progressive boarding-school Freie Schulgemeinde of Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in Thuringia Forest and from 1925 at progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia where he also served as deputy principal of Martin Luserke (1880–1968). This picture had been made on the island Juist close to the school building Arche (Arch, Noah's Arch) where he lived with his family.
Deutsch: Der deutsche Chemiker und Oberlehrer Dr. phil. nat. Paul Reiner (1886–1932) als stellvertretender Leiter des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der Nordseeinsel Juist in Preußen, wo er ab 1925 neben Schulleiter Martin Luserke (1880–1968) tätig war. Zuvor hatte er ab 1919 in der Freien Schulgemeinde in Wickersdorf bei Saalfeld im Thüringer Wald unterrichtet, um 1913 war er Hauslehrer im oberbayerischen Wolfratshausen bei der Familie von Edgar Jaffé (1866–1921) und dessen Ehefrau Else (1874–1973), geb. als Elisabeth Frieda Amélie Sophie Freiin von Richthofen. Diese Aufnahme entstand im Loog auf Juist vor dem Schulgebäude Arche, in dem er mit seiner Familie wohnte. |
