Description
Deutsch: Der deutsche Chemiker und Oberlehrer Dr. phil. nat. Paul Reiner (1886–1932, hinten Mitte) unterrichtete zuletzt als stellvertretender Leiter des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der Nordseeinsel Juist in Preußen, wo er ab 1925 neben Schulleiter Martin Luserke (1880–1968) tätig war. Zuvor hatte er ab 1919 in der Freien Schulgemeinde in Wickersdorf bei Saalfeld im Thüringer Wald unterrichtet, um 1913 war er Hauslehrer im oberbayerischen Wolfratshausen bei der Familie von Edgar Jaffé (1866–1921) und dessen Ehefrau Else (1874–1973), geb. als Elisabeth Frieda Amélie Sophie Freiin von Richthofen. Bei dem Schüler ganz rechts vorn handelt es sich um Heinz-Günther Knolle (* 16. April 1912 in Bischofshagen 337 (zu Gohfeld; jetzt Löhne); † 26. Oktober 1999 in Bielefeld).
English: Paul Reiner (1886–1932, center), a chemist and highschool teacher who in 1913 started as a tutor in the family of Edgar Jaffé (1866–1921) and his wife Elisabeth Frieda Amélie Sophie (1874–1973), née as Freiin von Richthofen in Wolfratshausen, Kingdom of Bavaria. After WWI he taught from 1919 at German progressive boarding-school Freie Schulgemeinde (Free School Community) of Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in Thuringia Forest and from 1925 at progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer (School by the Sea) on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia where he also served as deputy headmaster of Martin Luserke (1880–1968). In the front row on the right is Heinz-Günther Knolle (* 16 April, 1912 in Löhne, Westphalia); † 26 October, 1999 in Bielefeld).
