Vierde prent uit een serie van serie van 4 prenten met op elke prent 1 omkaderde lithografie met tekst eronder, over de liefde tussen een blank meisje en een blanke jongen die begin 18e eeuw samen opgroeien in een Franse kolonie. De afbeelding toont de dode Virginie, met bij haar de zwarte huisknecht en een blanke man en een blanke jongen. Op de achtergrond een schip dat vergaan is. Met tekst in Nederlands en Frans.
