Description
English: Interior view of restored Fort Knox 1940 Barracks building on site at the General George Patton Museum of Leadership, Fort Knox KY. The interior was restored over several years after being transported from main post in 2012 and opened to the public in May 2021. The interior lower level is configured the same as the WWII era, housing 63 soldiers and NCOs of a platoon with both single and double rack beds. The barracks houses several small displays depicting life in the barracks building and Fort Knox form the 1940s to the 1970s.
