Todos los fines de semana en la Plaza 20 de Febero de Ituzaingó ciudadanos, ciunadanas y ciudadanes de todas las edades se reúnen en el Patio de Folklore, un espacio de encuentro tradicional con la música y el baile de nuestra tierra, nuestros ancestros y nuestra cultural local. A través de este espacio se busca revalorizar las raíces locales y fortalecer la identidad nacional. Es un lugar de encuentro y comunión donde niñeces, juventudes, adulteces y adulteces mayores se juntan para compartir, enseñar y aprender codigos culturales de nuestros ritmos autóctonos y para pasar un momento alegre en grata compañía. El 25 de mayo, dia de la Patria en Argentina, esta hermosa costumbre se comparte con los que son ajenos al ritual de cada fin de semana en el festejo central del municipio. Y muchos se topan de golpe con la identidad y la historia de Ituzaingó, que tiene una larga historia de tradiciones gauchas. Si bien el ser gaucho está presente para quien quiera percibirlo en cada rincón del municipio, para muchas personas es algo muy lejano en tiempo y espacio. Esta costumbre del Patio folcklorico ituzainguense nos une con esa historia, da cuenta de la cultura y de memoria colectiva viva en este territorio y reivindica, construye y fortalece la identidad local.
