| Description |
English: Path to Whitefield Plantation, Ibsley Common, New Forest Ibsley Common is National Trust owned land, although it is now within the perambulation of the New Forest. This path across the heathland plateau leads to the trig point at the northern end of Whitefield Plantation (the line of trees on the horizon). The plantation is a mix of Douglas fir and taller Scots pine. Ibsley Common was never subjected to the large-scale gravel extraction that scarred neighbouring Gorley and Rockford Commons. |
