Summary
[edit]DescriptionPath by the River Aire - geograph.org.uk - 786117.jpg |
English: Path by the River Aire. The path that runs alongside the River Aire by Number 1 Whitehall Riverside.
I worked here in the late 1970's, when the area was mainly occupied by Elida Faberge's toiletries factory (known as Soapy Joes after the original company Joseph Watson, which made soap). A view like this wouldn't have been possible then, as the buildings went to the river bank in places, and there was high wall along the bank. See a similar view at night 630711 |
