English: Map showing the word for 'French fries / chips' in the Dutch language area. The orange line marks the area in which the word for 'patatten' means potatoes. Based on the dialect map "Patates frites" by J. Stroop (1972) as published in 'Hun hebben de taal verkwanseld', Athenaeum, 2010.
