Português: Passagem de curipaiti, 15 de agosto de 1867, os navios passaram em coluna pela margem esquerda e de dia; na ordem seguinte - Brasil com o pavilhão do vice almirante Inhaúma, Mariz e Barros, Colombo, Bahia, Cabral, Barroso, Herval e Lima Barros. O Tamandaré que na ordem seguida logo atraz do Mariz e Barros teve avaria nas maquinas e saiu fora da linha para meio do rio. O Silvado que precedia o Lima Barros teve ordem de dar-lhe reboque, o que fez passando estes dois encouraçados a navegaram pela popa do Lima Barros e fechando a coluna.
English: Passage of Curipaiti, August 15, 1867, the ships sailed in a column along the left bank and during the day, in the following order - Brazil with the flag of Vice Admiral Inhaúma, Mariz e Barros, Colombo, Bahia, Cabral, Barroso, Herval, and Lima Barros. Tamandaré, which was immediately behind Mariz e Barros, experienced engine damage and drifted out of line towards the middle of the river. Silvado, which was ahead of Lima Barros, was ordered to tow it, passing these two armored vessels to sail astern of Lima Barros and closing the column. |
