Deutsch: Unter nicht ganz geklärten Umständen gelangte die sogenannte Weltkriegssammlung in den Besitz des Hessischen Hauptstaatsarchivs. Darunter befinden sich auch Noten aus dem Internierungslager Ruhleben bei Berlin.1916 setzte dort der Dirigent Charles Frederic Adler eine für Klavier komponierte Ballade des ebenfalls inhaftierten britischen Komponisten Roland Bocquet für großes Orchester. Bocquet war um 1900 von England nach Dresden übergesiedelt und hatte sich doch als Liedkomponist einen Namen gemacht. Seine Stücke tragen deutlich impressionistische Züge, neigen aber auch immer wieder zu sehr avantgardistischen Passagen.
