"BU EIDDO ABATY CYMER HYD 1536. ADFERWYD 1990 BRIEN GAR..." (last word indistinct). This can be translated as "The property of Cymer Abbey until 1536. Restored 1990 Brien Gar..." Cymer Abbey was the last of the Welsh monasteries to be dissolved. This occurred in March 1537. The total value of the Abbey and its properties was £51. |
