The Durbar Hall was originally part of the Colonial and Indian Exhibition at South Kensington in 1868. After the exhibition it was acquired by the first Lord Brassey. It was inherited by the second Lord Brassey, who presented it to the County Borough of Hastings in 1919, and in 1931 it was erected in the museum at Johns Place. |
