Summary
[edit]DescriptionPart of settlement and field system - geograph.org.uk - 1371955.jpg |
English: Part of settlement and field system Traces of a late 1st - 2nd century AD settlement are strung out along the lower S-facing slopes of Stob Law. There is not a great deal to be seen, but expert evaluation has identified ruins of circular houses and a field system, with clearance cairns of stones collected together during cultivation. More information and a plan of the site is given in 'Exploring Scotland's Heritage - Lothian and the Borders' by John R Baldwin (HMSO Edinburgh 1989). |
