Description
Español: El Templo de la Virgen del Carmen fue bendecido el 25 de marzo de 1711. Su nombre original fue el de Convento de la Purísima Concepción de la Orden de los Carmelitas Descalzos.

En abril de 1720 fue designado como sede del Colegio Moral para los Frailes Carmelitas de la Nueva España.

Actualmente es considerado uno de los Conjuntos Conventuales más hermosos de México y además alberga al Museo de Bellas Artes desde el 7 de septiembre de 1945.
