Description

Em plena Serra da Estrela, o Parque Ecológico de Gouveia, encontra-se situado numa área rural, designada Quinta da Borrachota, a cerca de 5 minutos do centro da cidade de Gouveia. O parque dispõe de uma área total de 6 hectares, estando uma parte ocupada com infra-estruturas de apoio às espécies faunísticas existentes. Os percursos estão assinalados, numa área de 2.987 hectares, permitindo ao visitante usufruir do contacto com a natureza e simultaneamente conhecer a flora da região.

Este não pretende ser uma "montra", mas antes um espaço interactivo onde se conjuga o lazer e a educação ambiental. Esta vertente, constitui naturalmente a sua vocação: valorizar os aspectos didácticos, de forma a sensibilizar e estimular o indivíduo para a defesa do meio ambiente. Sendo uma importante infra-estrutura turística para o Concelho de Gouveia, o Parque assume-se fundamentalmente como um importante instrumento na área da Educação Ambiental, pelo que se sugere ao visitante que participe nas actividades que este espaço se propõe desenvolver, nomeadamente adquirindo o Caderno de Campo do Parque que lhe permite consolidar conhecimentos e divertir-se ao longo da sua visita. <a href="http://www.cm-gouveia.pt/visitargouveia/Paginas/parque-ecologico.aspx" rel="nofollow">www.cm-gouveia.pt/visitargouveia/Paginas/parque-ecologico...</a>
