English: Parkhotel Kurhaus in Bad Kreuznach
Deutsch: Parkhotel Kurhaus in Bad Kreuznach; schlossartige Vierflügelanlage, 1913, Architekt Emanuel von Seidl, München. Für 14 Monate, vom 2. Januar 1917 bis zum 8. März 1918, war hier der Sitz des Großen Hauptquartiers des Deutschen Kaiserreiches. Im Kurhaus selbst nahm der Kaiser Wilhelm II. seinen Wohnsitz. Dreigeschossiger Erweiterungsbau von 1929, Architekt Roth, Darmstadt. Der Generalstab war zu der Zeit im damaligen Hotel Oranienhof, heute Franziska Stift. Ab 8. März 1818 Umzug wegen Hochwasser ins belgische Spa. Von 1918 bis 1930 Besetzung durch Franzosen. |
