La ville d'Adelaide est l'une des rares villes a avoir été planifiée, elle est à l'origine un carré d'environ 1,5 km de côté délimité par des rues qui se nomment Terrasse du sud, du nord, de l'ouest et de l'est. L'homme qui avait eu cette "vision" pour cette ville s'appelle Colonel William Light. Adelaide is one of the few towns who was planned. The initial town was a square of approximately 1.5 km on each side. The person who had a "vision" for Adelaide was Colonel William Light. Each side of the square was named North Terrace, West Terrace, East Terrace and South Terrace
