| Description |
English: Park Avenue, Aberystwyth This was once the market area of Aberystwyth and for four Mondays from mid-November, a hiring fair was held as a sort of early Job-Centre, allowing farmers to find farm-hands for the forthcoming year. Inevitably it has now become just a street market and fun fair and one half of the road is closed for the market stalls. Park Avenue was once a side street but is now a major thoroughfare into the town so partial closure of the road does cause considerable disruption to traffic in the area. |
