It then passes the almost unbroken rows of housesbelonging to the suburbs of Passy and Auteuil (p. 167), intersectsthe fortifications (the road to St. Cloud diverges to the right), crossesthe Seine, and reaches Sevres. The drive from Sevres to Versaillesoccupies 40 min. more; the road passes under the railway viaduct,and soon reaches the Avenue de Paris. Terminus in the PlacedArmes. Versailles. Arrival. The Station of the Rive Droite Line is nearly 1 M. distantfrom the palace: omnibus 30 c.; cabs IV4 (one-horse) or IV2 fr.
