eft of the mantel-piece is placed an interesting collection of flintarrow-heads. Adjoining this room is the Galerie de Mars or Snlles de Fetes, occupy-ing the whole height of the first and second stories next to the church,and not yet restored. It is devoted to objects to be afterwards placed inthe other rooms, so that the arrangements are only temp.jrary. At presentit contains an extensive collection of Romano-Gallic earthenware, armsand armour from diflerent sources, objects in iron and bronze, etc. l^earthe middle of the left side is a tomb older than the foundation of Rome,found in Italy in 1S73.
