Summary

[edit]
Description

Notre-Dame-des-Champs - Rue de Rennes The monumental building is the first department store to use reinforced concrete in its construction. The building is a large six-storey food area richly decorated in Art Nouveau style, including a "kitchen service for the city" with its catering department. The layout inside the store was intended airy and orderly in order to allow easy circulation. A treadmill provides access to a tea room and a photography salon located on the ground floor. Arch.
