Summary

[edit]
Description

Musée du quai Branly, Paris, France.

Wikipedia: The Musée du quai Branly features the indigenous art and cultures of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The Quai Branly Museum opened in 2006, and is the newest of the major museums in Paris. An international competition was held to select an architect. The competition was won by French architect Jean Nouvel. The new museum was designed to be as out of sight as possible; the main building is designed to appear lower than the buildings around it, and is largely screened from view by its gardens. The gardens were designed by landscape architect Gilles Clément.
