Summary

[edit]
Description

Saint-Cloud Le Jardin du Trocadéro was built under Louis XVIII in 1823, and completed under Charles X. First called "Le Jardin de Montretout", it was renamed "Jardin du Trocadéro" in tribute to the victory won in 1823 in this city of Spain by The Duc d'Angoulême.

The pond initially had a functional role as a reservoir for supplying the fire pumps of the castle.
