Situated between the Rue aux Laines, the Rue du Grand Cerf, Boulevard de Waterloo and the Palais d'Egmont, Egmont Park has always been very well hidden, so that few people know of it. The park is the place for daydreaming, for children to romp or play. Peter Pan sits in an oak of Turner and seems to answer the Prince de Ligne. The 'Pollepel' is an authentic Gothic well, which reminds us of the Middle Ages. At that time wells were used to supply drinking water or water to fight fires. The 'Orangerie' (now a tearoom) has an icebox at its centre which was originally used to preserve ice. Four hidden gates lead into this oasis of tranquility.
