English: Parañaque Cathedral[1]St. Andrew's Cathedral, officially known as The Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew, is considered one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. It was established in 1580 by Spanish Augustinian friars. The church is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Parañaque[2], the local church that comprises Parañaque City, Muntinlupa City, and Las Piñas City. ([3]Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila). Parañaque[4] The City of Parañaque Andrew the Apostle[5] (Greek: Ἀνδρέας, Andreas; from the early 1st century – mid to late 1st century AD; known by some as Saint Andrew), called in the Orthodox tradition Prōtoklētos, or the First-called, is a Christian Apostle and the brother of Saint Peter.
Our Lady of Good Success[6] also called as Our Lady of Good Success (Spanish: Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso; Filipino: Ina ng Mabubuting Pangyayari) is one of the titles of Blessed Virgin Mary. This title is shared among numerous images around the world — a number of images in Spain, one in Quito, Ecuador, and one in Parañaque City, Philippines. It is claimed that Quito's image had produced an apparition - to Mother Mariana de Jésus Torres. |
