English: Panorama from The Castle terrace in the English city of Nottingham. This panorama, created from seven shots, covers the quarter of the horizon from about East North East to South South East.
To the left, the tower of St Mary's Church, swinging right round to the green roof of County Hall at Trent Bridge near the right hand side. Prominent features (left to right) include Green's Windmill, Colwick Woods, Jury's Inn Hotel , refuse incinerator chimney, Nottingham Station (above the British Waterways lettering). Less obvious further right are the football grounds of Meadow Lane (Notts County) and the City Ground (Nott'm Forest) and Trent Bridge Cricket Ground (largely hidden by the white multi-storey building housing Rushcliffe Borough Council), and finally the green copper roof of County Hall |
