English: The ring road is crossed from Mahalakshmisthan in Lalitpur district and the temple of Pancheshwar Shivalinga i.e. Shiva ji located in Kusanti. It is ward no. 13. In ancient times, this place was called Panchadwan in Newari language. This place was known by the names of Punch meaning five and Dwan meaning five and a half. Yes Shivlinga. There are various deities in the premises. According to a book written by author Purushottam Dhakal, Kalyanti Thapa, a mother of Waripatti, who was suddenly built on the morning of the 6th day of Poush 2054 BS, started trembling and walked towards Kusunti Panchthali with a trident in her hand. While excavating at the site of the present construction of the temple where Waha had placed the dove with the trident, on the 14th day of Poush 2054 BS, a Shivalinga and five Mahadev's vehicles came to be found. According to eyewitnesses at the time, the actual description of the 21 living snakes encircling Shivalinga. Due to the discovery of Shivalinga with five settlers, it was named Pancheshwor Mahadev by its mother. This temple is very crowded with devotees during the month of Shravan, while other festivals are crowded with devotees. |
