English: Panchadeval in Pashupatinath area of Kathmandu. It is located on the south side of the Panchadeval Pashupati temple. The area of Panchdeval is very large. There are many pati, pauwa, sattals here. In the middle of this are five very Shiva temples of very artistic style. In the time of Surendra Bikram Shah, there was a school for the poor and a place to eat rice. Later this place i.e. now the old age home has been built where the old people live. Which is being taken care of by the government of Nepal. There are five very attractive and artistic Shiva temples in this place. It was built in 1927 BS by Rajendra Bikram Shah, Surendra Bikram Shah and his two queens and Trilokya Bikram Shah.
The earthquake of 2072 BS has damaged the property here in Panchadeval. There are also idols of other deities in this Panchdeval complex. There are five tridents in front of Panchadeval on the north side and five Nandis on the west side. This Panchadeval located in the upper part. There are pati, pauwa, sattal, etc. around Panchdeval. |
