Roger Puta was on the northbound Illinois Central Panama Limited one morning in May 1964 in the southern suburbs of Chicago. I've found four slides and present them in the order he took them. Northern Pacific Dome lent for the winter and painted orange-brown. That is most likely the southbound City of New Orleans passing to the left. The electric overhead for the suburban trains can also be seen to the left. The tracks to the right into Markham Yard identify the location as Homewood. |
