Description The Palmer Lake #2 dam, located southwest of Palmer Lake, Colorado in the Pike National Forest. The reservoir is called the Upper Palmer Reservoir on topo maps. The dam's NID ID is CO00436. According to the National Inventory of Dams, the concrete dam is owned by the Town of Palmer Lake, was built in 1904, is 50 feet high and impounds 200 acre-feet of water. The reservoir stores water for Palmer Lake's municipal water supply. The picture was taken from the Reservoir Trail.
