Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Before technology crept into the South Eastern part of Nigeria and Opi-Nsukka (Enugu State) in particular, every traditional household has a rectangular dip wooden mortar for "izo-àkwù". The palm kernel is boiled overnight in no pots and then fetched in batches into the mortar where two or more people use their legs to peel off the flesh off the palm fruits.
