Here in B.C. 218 the army ofPtolemy IV. (Philopater) was defeated by Antiochus the Great. After 25 min. we cross a (11 M.) brook. On the hill to the rightlies Maksaba. We have now to pass the spur of the Rks ed-Da,intir.
