Description
English: The 99 room Palace Hotel in Ukiah, California was built in 1891. Originally named the Curtis House, the brick structure is three stories in height, and stylistically derived from the Italianate mode. The name was changed in 1894 to the Palace Hotel when J.D. Curtis sold his interest. In 1989 the building was sold to investors, but not remodeled. In 2011, the Ukiah City Council declared the 16,000 square foot building a public nuisance and it was placed in receivership early in 2017. The building is located at 252 N State St, Ukiah, CA 95482
