Photograph of a painted portrait of Chief Manuelito, the last chief of the Navajo Indians, by Elbridge Ayer Burbank, after 1908. The Chief Manuelito can be seen seated with his back to a wall. He is bare chested, but wears a blanket on his lap over his trousers. Necklaces drape around his neck. In the crook of his right arm he holds a staff with feathers on top.
