Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Arjuna Temple is one of the temple buildings in the Arjuna Enshrinement Complex, Dieng. Arjuna Temple is estimated to be the oldest temple, this temple is estimated to have been built in the 8th century AD by the Sanjaya Dynasty of Ancient Mataram. In this complex there are also Semar Temple, Srikandi Temple, Puntadewa Temple, and Sembadra Temple. Arjuna Temple is located at the northernmost of the row of temples in the complex. Meanwhile, Semar Temple is an ancillary temple or a complement to Arjuna Temple. The two temple buildings are facing each other.[1] Like most temples in Dieng, the community gives the name of the Mahabarata puppet figure as the name of the temple.[2]
