Installation

In a mobile society destination is the focus. The trip is just the means to an end. Brevity and blandness are de rigueur – an ambient waiting room aesthetic prevails. It leads the travellers to their own devices. Sheathed in movies’n’music, meds and meals, they are insulated from the anxiety, boredom, discomfort of being in transit. Somewhere in stasis, they linger between sleep and torpor.

This installation AirBorn 3 by PADEJO, a collective of three Toronto artists, changes the choreography of your journey, leavening it with whimsy, uncertainty and transience. »
