[edit]DescriptionPaddington 2 Station geograph-2431243-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Steam at Paddington Station. View SE on Platform 2/3, with 'Castle' No. 5001 'Llandovery Castle' leaving from Platform 4 on the 18.00 express to Weymouth, while 'Modified Hall' No. 7927 'Willington Hall' backs down onto a train at Platform 3. On the left the empty stock of another train is running into Platform 5. The 'Castle' was already 32 years old and lasted another five years, but the Modified 'Hall' was a 'youngster' built in 10/50 and although withdrawn in 12/65 has been preserved. |
