r pen- stock, the total snowfallwas 170 inches, with amaximum snow on levelof 79 inches. Duringthe last week of Febru-ary over six feet of snowfell at Drum Camp. Thisblocked the road toTowle, and it took twomen and four h.orsesseveral days to open it.In the meantime, themail and light materialand supplies were car-ried in on skis.
