Panama-Pacific InternationalExposition, and at the Gas Institute meet-ing, held in New York, in 1914, the workof the committee was accepted and thecommittee discharged. At the annual dinner of the Classifica-tion Committee held at the Lotus Clubon Wednesday evening, October 21, 1914,one of the members remarked that theclassification was very satisfactory, butthat he did not see the use of a classifi-cation unless there was to be an exhibitof gas appliances at the Panama-PacificF^xposition. It was the opinion of thecommittee that there should be a repre-sentative gas exhibit, and the old classi-fication committee as a whole was ap-pointed a committee on (Collective GasExhibit for the Panama-Pacific Exposi-tion. The word collective as a part of thetitle means that every article used in themanufacture, distribution and use of gasshall be included in one exhibit pavilion.This was impossible at Chicago and St.Louis and will be a unique feature atSan Francisco.
