Provision is made to carry a fullmonths supply of oil fuel. The storage tanksare placed on the extreme east end of theproperty, about 450 feet east of the building.These are two riveted steel tanks, the capacityof each being 10,000 barrels. The tanksare about 50 feet in diameter and 30 feethigh. The tank walls and top are supportedinside by timber bracing to prevent the tankcollapsing when empty in a high wind. Eachtank is supported on a reinforced concrete pad30 inches deep and about 58 feet in diameter.A reinforced concrete retaining wall I 2 feethigh and 95 feet in diameter surrounds eachtank. This is a safety precaution to hold theoil in case of a fire or of the tanks failing.The capacity of the concrete retainer is madeequal to that of the tank. The oil is brought to the tanks through 8-
